Paweł Orłowski (b. 1975) is a Polish sculptor and professor at the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. He graduated from the Faculty of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow and studied at the Universität der Künste in Berlin.
In his works, Orłowski engages in a dialogue with old masters and creates contemporary meditative spaces for contemplating transience and the passage of time. The sculptural transformation and transfiguration of the human body in Orłowski’s art ultimately led to the elimination of naturalistic representation in favor of synthetic, cubist forms. Paweł Orłowski is a laureate of numerous awards and distinctions, both in Poland and internationally. He has participated in over sixty artistic projects, exhibitions, and symposia worldwide
