Mouhcine Rahaoui (b. 1990) graduated from the Tetouan School of Fine Arts in 2017, he lives abd works in Marrakesh. His work explores the experience and history of miners in the Oriental region, particularly in his home town of Jerada. Rahaoui questions the injustice of life and examines its fragility in the face of nature’s unpredictability, which both nourishes and exposes humans to mortal danger. He works with unconventional materials like coal, wax and reused plastic.
