In 2023, the Twożywo group created Kalendarz ZE słów (Calendar OF Words) – a classic tear-off calendar in which numbers were replaced with words, resulting in 365 unique rebuses and visual puzzles, each corresponding to a day of the year. The printing plates used to produce the calendar were subsequently repurposed. On their reverse sides, the artists recreated individual pages in a much larger format than the traditional tear-off calendar. Each of these pages corresponds to a single month and replicates a specific typographic layout from the original calendar.
The works in the dela.art collection serve as tangible mementos of the Kalendarz ZE słów project. They were created from the materials originally used in the calendar’s production and reconstruct selected elements of its original layout.
Another work created from the printing plates of Kalendarz ZE słów is Obiekt (Object). Two cones positioned face to face form a shape resembling an hourglass, reinforcing the motif of transience and (supra)temporality present in Twożywo’s calendar project.
