Andrzej Szewczyk (1950–2001) was a visual artist who skillfully navigated the realms of painting, sculpture, installation, and writing. In his innovative works and thoughtful reflections on art, he transcended traditional boundaries and challenged conventional notions of artistic expression. Szewczyk's material explorations featured an eclectic mix of elements, such as pencil fragments, crayon shavings, pistachio shells, wooden spikes, salt, and lead.
Andrzej Szewczyk's artworks are featured in numerous prestigious institutions, such as the Łódź Museum of Art, Warsaw National Museum, Zachęta National Gallery of Art, Warsaw Museum of Modern Art, Museum of Contemporary Art in Cracow, Wrocław National Museum, the Orońsko Center of Polish Sculpture etc.
