Aneta Grzeszykowska (b.1974) explores the role of photography in the creation and documentation of human identity. She delves into various forms of memory, including personal, collective, and family, using unconventional materials and techniques. Grzeszykowska has presented her artworks in notable galleries and museums both in Poland (such as Zachęta – National Art Gallery, Raster Gallery, Arsenał Gallery, and Contemporary Museum in Wrocław) and abroad (including the United States, Austria, Sweden, Germany, and Italy).
Her works have been included in prestigious collections such as the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York, Centre Pompidou in Paris, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Miami Art Museum, MSN Warsaw, Zachęta – National Gallery of Art, and Museum of Art in Łódź. Grzeszykowska was awarded the Paszport Polityki award in the Visual Arts category in 2014.
