Krzysztof Sokolovski

Neo-sacral art

Krzysztof Sokolovski works within the framework of neo-sacral art, a movement he initiated in response to the need for redefining contemporary religious art. His works do not recreate biblical narratives or replicate canonical forms. Instead, they focus on the emotional and metaphysical experience of the sacred. The artist combines geometric abstraction with philosophical reflection, seeking a visual language capable of expressing both spirituality and empirical understanding of the world. At the heart of this reflection lies the concept of Cognitostructura – a structure of knowing, which defines the human being as the most advanced known manifestation of a reality that both is and self-recognizes at the same time.

Sokolovski’s works from the dela.art collection, created in various techniques and formats, form a cohesive narrative in which reflections on spirituality, the cosmos, and knowledge are interwoven. The light installation Morning Star, Angelic Star expresses awe and emotional resonance evoked by contemplating the night sky. The art object resembling an altarpiece triptych, titled A Subtle Being – Persistent. Space and the laws of balance, offers a reflection on cosmic order and an invitation to look inward through confrontation with one’s mirrored image. The circular piece Subtle Being evokes the idea of transcendence through references to orbital forms and planetary motion. Meanwhile, the painting Klebaric Vault interprets sacred architecture as a symbolic attempt to recreate divine order through geometric structures. More about the Artist
