Liquid Tongues

Polish Pavilion at the Venice Biennale

61st International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia is held under the title In Minor Keys and, following curator Koyo Kouoh’s vision, invites audiences to listen closely to what is fragile and barely audible – to quieter voices and overlooked narratives.

The Polish Pavilion presents Liquid Tongues, a project by Bogna Burska and Daniel Kotowski. This audio-visual installation features the Chór w Ruchu (Choir in Motion), composed of both hearing and Deaf participants, who interpret whale songs and various communication codes simultaneously through spoken and sign languages.
The project explores new forms of communication inspired by more-than-human life and reflects on the possibility of building relationships that transcend the boundaries of seemingly disparate worlds.

The dela.art collection is once again honored to be a partner of the exhibition at the Polish Pavilion.
